Hello all,

I'm in need of a very small Linux based hosting account, say 100 MB space and 2 GB bandwidth.

My main requirement would be PHP 5, and a minimum of 1 mySQL database.

Everything else would be nice, but not a requirement. This site wouldn't get any real traffic, it's merely a testing platform to try out my scripts.

Seeing I'm a PHP developer, I'd be able to help out with various PHP scripting issues in return.

Any help or feedback on my request would be greatly appreciated.

why do you need 2 GB bandwidth with no traffic?

As I want to be on the safe side, I don't know how much bandwidth it could generate, but I would be happy with just 500 MB or 1 GB.

Looks like a forum where you're required to post. No offense, though.

Yeah that was my original plan, but I thought about the times I had to post to host, and I hated it, so no required posting.

So what am I required to do to request this? Register and post a new topic? :confused4

No, we do have a automatic signup methoed, http://hostingposts.com/hosting/signup.php but you have to register on the forum once you get an account, but you don't have to post.

I have registered now, but I trust your server has PHP5 installed, as I already have access to a server with PHP4.

clubhost does require posting....
to sign up you have to join as a orum member and send a PM to cybertoad. But before you can PM people you have to make 2 good posts which arent spam.

That looks like a posting requirement to me.

I can offer you 100MB + 2GB without a problem :)

My server has PHP Version 5.0.4 installed. :D (just make sure you make php5 files ends with ".php5" as their extension, otherwise server will recognize it as a php4 file.)

Yeah, like you offered, all the I want in return is just some php support from you. Probably just straight-forward questions now and then, no major programming involved or anything. PM me.

Wannabe ... consider yourself corrected! (you did ask for it :P )

Yes, I am the current "Cybertoad" at Clubhost City but I am not the
same person as the one you are thinking of who used to call people
morons a lot. Incidentally, the current Clubhost is also not the same
company that you are thinking of either. You are actually thinking of
the previous owner of Clubhost who was running "clubhost.us" back
when it was part of AMZ Web Hosting which we have no association.

Just as a side FYI, I also only speak one language ... English!

I was the original founder of the "original" Clubhost back in 1997
when it went by the name of "Cybertoad Networks". In 2002, the
company was sold to another group and became part of "AMZ Hosting"
and I stayed on as a marketing advisor and support technician for about
a year to help the new owners and finally left the company in June 2003.
Later, in March of this year (2005), AMZ Web Hosting folded and all parts
of the company shutdown including also Clubhost. Upon hearing the news,
I immediately made an offer to the current owners of the domain and
successfully purchased all the domain names that had been previously
owned by AMZ Web Hosting and it's subsidiaries. The very first thing I did
is moved "clubhost.us" to a new network and immediately re-opened the
service so even though the name is technically running under a new company
on a new network now in a totally different part of the world, the Clubhost
service is now finally back in the hands of the original founder and the
original management. Clubhost was actually only down for 2 weeks when
it changed ownership hands this past March. In the process, I also
successfully pulled together the original support staff that had worked
under me on the original project and most of the original members as well
who came back almost immediately upon hearing that Clubhost was back
online again. Just as a side FYI, I figured it would be less confusing for
people if I used AMZ's login here since people are already used to it being
the "spokesperson" for Clubhost and as such I took over this account here
at freewebspace.net roughly around late May of this year.

To xraycameras ... you can also consider yourself corrected as well
because you are absolutely wrong. We have 3 different FREE web hosting
accounts at Clubhost. Two of those accounts do indeed require posting but
the third account that you are obviously confusing DOES NOT have
any posting requirements whatsoever and you DO NOT have to
send any private messages to apply for that account! If you are applying
for just a standard FREE account, you can submit your application via
email and you don't even have to be a member of the forum community
at all! The "Send a PM" to me application requirement only applies to
just those members who are specifically applying for either the "FREE-PLUS"
or "FREE-ELITE" class accounts which are the other two accounts and do
requiring posting. Those other two accounts have substantially more
features and web space than the standard FREE account.

To KillaH .... yes, we have both PHP4 and PHP5 installed. Which version
you access depends primarily on what extension you use on your script
filenames which means members get to choose whether they want to
use the newer PHP5 module or the older legacy PHP4 module. Send a
support ticket from your control panel for more information on how to
use the PHP5 module.
