I see SpacePorts is now pushing its pay plans but you can still get a free option with some big ad frames that are so hideous that anybody would beg to get out.Not only the website owner but a visitor to a website.Last time I visited Spaceports I was getting their ad popups coming out of my computer for days.

I guess they think it's the best way to get people to switch to their pay plan - make the free option worthless. Who in their right mind would host a site with those types of ads?

That seems to be the trend.Make the free so misearable that nobody would want to use it.


I really don't know the logic of making the advertising so obnoxious but I guess the ad people think its worth more money.

I don't know who wants to surf pop-up city sites vs. exiting.


I have not tried Spaceports of recent but last time the pop-ups more almost like a virus.(in fact some setting were changed in my computer but don't know if I can blame SpacePorts)

They are all messed up anyway. Just get some cheap pay hosting.

I think Spaceports' adframe isn't so bad as long as you don't use stealth redirection, as it forces your SP URL into the browser bar. I bet it's an attempt to keep users from leaving due to a change in the homepage URL against the URL which is bookmarked.
