I've just started a new site with an as short URL as possible,

www.badboss.dk3.com

But I'm wondering if I should take the plunge into a domain name?

Maybe it could become the next HOTORNOT, with everyone going to it or maybe an unknown site with a 10$ usless domain. THats my fear anyway.

Could someone please check it out and give me some feedback on weather I should DOMAIN it?

THANX

It's only $10 bucks a year which averages to about less than a dollar per month. Overall you aren't losing much at all, unless you are really really tight on money. If you say it might be the next hot thing on the net, then it can even turn out to be a good investment in the long run.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter what your site is, your own domain is something that you can control and can always belong to you.

and if your host kicks you off, you can always point it somewhere else.

<scratching head>

Hmmmm.... my .com.kg's look like domains. They act like domains. They get hosted like domains. I seem to have as much control over them as I do over my .com's, .net's, and .org. Maybe I don't understand what a domain is.

.com.kg is a little unprofessional i guess...it's like dhs.org.

OK. Well, I suppose .tv, .cc, .nu, .uk, etc. must all be unprofessional then.

They place huge ads. And everyone knows namezero right. Everyone know's it's free. A .com.kg looks better anyway. A little like .co.uk
