View Full Version : Help finding a host (Yes, I've tried the searches)

Hi,
I'm not asking for too much I don't think. Here's what I'd like:
CGI (must)
SSI (must)
Around 10MB or so
And I don't mind an ad, as long as it is a user-placed ad.
Now, I've tried f2s, but I can't connect to their FTP and they say there will be lots of downtime. And I've also heard that they delete forum scripts? If not, oh well, but that's not too cool. So...any reccommendations? Thanks.

But then how am I supposed to use CGI and stuff? Anyone got any others? Thanks very much though for the suggestion.

i have read the faq section about free hosting, you support mail function, but don't MySQL....my question would be that can i connect to freesql.org from your server (through php)
and i have noticed also that you don't allow non-english sites, so what's about multi-language sites? (english-hungarian)
and do you put ads on hosted sites?

Dedix: Good questions and thanks for asking them. We have updated our support area.
Yes you can use freesql.org for your database.
Yes multi language sites are alowed as long as our reviewers can see the content and understand what its about.

Hi, I'm meow, vSector's secretary. :)
Do you put banners on each site?
We do require a small 120x60 pixel button which must be located on each page(even cgi page and php, email us if there are problems). We do not put them on your site, it is left up to you. Remember if you do not put our button on your pages you will be terminated and banned.
I wasn't clear enough about that I was joking when I said I was vSector's secretary. I'm NOT. I simply read the FAQ. Sorry if you took me seriously.:o
