Hi,

I've made a logo for my web site, but it doesn't look too good cause it gets blurred out. To see what its like now, go to:

http://xtremetabs.hypermart.net/lbc/images/logo.gif

I made a JPEG, but its still not clear enough:

Now, for all you PSP users:

http://xtremetabs.hypermart.net/lbc/images/logo.psp

Please download the logo.psp file and see if you can get the jpg's or gif's to look exactly that way...I don't really care how big the file is, I'd just like for it to be super quality. If you don't want to do it, can someone tell me how?

I've been setting the compression ratio for JPG in PSP to 1, but it still isn't as good as I'd like. Thank you very much.

Here, give this PNG file a try...it'll show up fine in Netscape and IE, just like a Gif or JPEG...

Hi,

thanks for making that...but when I tried to load it, it started viewing it as a Quicktime thing...like it used Quicktime to open it, and then I couldn't save it...how recently has the .png format come into widespread use? Thanks.

Craps. Something is broke i my IE. I couldn't view it at all. And I used to. What plugin is used for png support?

Shouldn't need a plugin at all...and if quicktime is opening it, it means it registered that filetype....one of the many reasons quicktime sucks ---....

Either uninstall it, or remove .png from the File Associations section of the Quicktime Preferences...

PNG support is there for the major browsers, if not completely (some cool tricks like alpha transparency don't work properly), but for a basic image like that, which no tricks involved, you shouldn't be blocking many out....

Check this link (http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/pngstatus.html#browsers) for some detailed info on browser support...

You are welcome, but I sneezed twice at work, so my soul needs no more blessing.
