I'm a soldier who lost a leg in Iraq.

I came back home in darkness with so many bandages without anybody noticing us.

I have made a vow to myself to reveal the lies of those who stole my life.

Here is the truth they are trying to conceal from you

As casualties mount in Iraq, so has the monetary cost of the war. The military is now spending more than $5.8 billion each month, top officials told Congress this week.

..

The Army, with about 110,000 soldiers on the ground in Iraq, has a monthly "burn rate" of $4.7 billion.

The Air Force is spending about $800 million monthly.

The Marines, which are spearheading the fighting in Fallujah, had an average monthly war cost of $300 million

The US government uses lots of methods to reduce the number of victims:

Only American soldiers are counted into the statistics, and even in this category they don't give the exact numbers

And what if we knew that the US government gave thousands of non-Americans promises of a citizenship if they fight in Iraq

and what if we knew that The US government uses thousands of American, British, and other bounty killers who work for the "special security companies" for high salaries and the US government isn't responsible for their safety

Number of killed soldiers till now: 9,500

Number of wounded soldiers till now: 24,000

Number of deserters: 8,000

War cost till now:
http://costofwar.com/

Number of bounty killers in Iraq: 27,000

Number of bounty killers killed till now: 16,300

Iraqi daily average attacks: 80-90

wow, i feel so bad. $757 per person in the whole us. wow this money should have not been waisted there.
but to tell you the truth, it did bring the economy up.

War always brings the economy up. The economy benefits from war. And a war who's main purpose was not finding weapons of mass destruction, was not liberating Iraq from Hussein, but was to secure America's foreign interest: Oil.

are you being a little prejeduce uzzer? wat if that was you? how would you feel. although there was some bad thing happeneing in iraq, we did fix them, but wa! no oil. i bet bush is so mad, they didnt give us no oil. possible because the guys in charge of the oil was on sadam husiens side. so what we going to do next, kill them too! wow, the usa should give our constitution to another country, we are not using it anyway.

Daniel

They're not at that stage yet, leatherchair. The United States will receive oil from Iraq once the country has been secured.

i am not, it is a fact, the war only happened over OIL, and, when ever a US soldier dies, they do a whole ceremony, but when an Innocent Iraqi is MURDERED!!!! for basically mind his own business, then they think
"hmm, why dont we just leave 'em here to rot!!, or wait, lets spit on them first... no wait, lets take em to prison, abuse them, rape 'em and make photos for so we remember our days as perverts, abuse thier religion, let them die, then spit on 'em, then let 'em rot!!"

you may have lost your leg, and i feel for you, i mean it, i wouldnt want anyone to lose a limb, but think about those peole murdered by the Soldiers.
you know, there is a saying in the Qur'an:
"Kill one person, and think you have killed the whole of mankind!"

Ok, I think leatherchair misunderstood you. When you said nobody cares about the iraqi's, I think he thought you were saying that you don't and that they are small, when you were saying that everyone thinks they are small and you think they should be cared about..right?

You actually think that soldiers dont care about innocent civilians, well read the news papers a few days back about the Gaza strip incidents, some of the soldiers were crying because of what was happening.

If you were truly a soldier that lost a leg please make sure you're using the resources the American people, and of course the government are providing. One such charity:
http://www.woundedwarriors.org/

Honestly though once you enlist in the military you know the risks. You know that you're risking death and that you have to follow the commander’s orders. People shouldn't enlist if they don't truly understand the liberties and the rights they're giving up. Having said that anyone who looks at what they'll sacrifice and still enlists is a hero.

If you have a true story and want to get your story out I'd suggest a blog. Put up pictures, facts, stories, and share your viewpoint. One relatively anonymous forum posting won't accomplish the mission that you appear to have.

They get court marshalled for not following orders.

And in some cases even worse punishments, corporal punishment is still at large.

uzzer
August 24th, 2005, 15:26
they knew there would be a war, thats the whole point of an army, so you wouldnt have to refuse orders, if you didnt join!!

If you joined the Isreali army in the past few years, you know there is a war. Besides, they are backed by the USA anyway. Cheapest piece of warfare the US has going for them right now.
