Well taken that 1mbps is the download and 384kbps is the upload, it wouldn't be much to anyone really. System specs wise I could see 30-50 a month maybe but ... Are you trying to offer someone this? Or purchase it?

the price depends on the quality of bandwidth. With multi-homed connections, the price is higher than single-homed connection.

im trying to offer it, im thinking of offering it. But altogether, i've counted that the server cost (electricity + connection) will cost 70USD.
You are right, 1mbps download, 384kbps upload.

Your 384k upload is everyone else's DOWNLOAD... it's worthless, sorry. Obviously your DSL Line out of your house?

Yeah, if someone buys that server (at your recommended $70/month), they would be throwing their money away. I could name half a dozen providers (including myself :tongue2: ) that offer similar specs (with a MUCH faster connection) for less.

What do you have laying around? I tend to have customers that require lower end machines, that we tend to pass off to others.

I think this server is worth less than 30 a month, even server pronto's starter server plan is better in specs and connection.
