How do i do CGI-Bin? Do I jsut create a subdir for it? also it only lets me upload 1 file then i have to reconnect and upload another. very annoying

For f2s, you can execute CGI files in any directory. You don't have to neccessarily create a Cgi-Bin directory. But you can if you want. And I never had the problem you had about uploading one file and having to reconnect. That sounds a little unusal to me.

I had this problem, except with deleting, not uploading.

Well it happens to me with both deleting and uploading.

I've had the exact same uploading problem (currently setting up an Ikonboard there). I've emailed their support and I went to check any help forums they might have, but the site was inoperative.

Did you ever solve the problem?

nope never got it fixed, Im trying to install a ikonboard to but I screwed it up and it wont delete the files.

hey i swear i'm having the same exact problem with f2 i'm trying to install ikon board and it's acting stupid i'm trying to upload and it reconnects all the time i can't even delete any files. and this is just recent the other day i was installing it and it worked fine the only thing i dleted it cause i set it up wrong. and then yesterday it's just been acting stupid :(

I'm having the same problem too. I'm having problems deleting items, and i tried to delete all my ikonboard folders and it wont let me delete Data and Database because it says that they aren't empty, even though they are. Anybody know how long this will last.

PS This is happening on two of my sites, ones on old servers and the other is on new servers

I would advise you guys NOT to use any CGI-based message board. They are incredibly confusing and will give you problems (as stated above). If you guys want to see a PHP board in action, look at mine http://www.techbrink.f2s.com. It is vBulletin. If you want vBulletin, email me.

I tried UBB and ikonboard, and all they gave me was problems. For vBulletin, all I had to do was give it my MySQL settings and upload it to F2S, and I was up, customized, and working in only 10 minutes ( 1 to 1/2 min installation, the rest for customization).

No. If it did then that would be a breach of privacy. Also, I was looking at the source code, and there is no possible way.
