Hey,
It looks like my business partner, John, has disappeared. NetCabins will probably not re-open. But you might be able to change that. NetCabins will re-open if I can find someone to program our automated user system. It's a large system, and I can't pay you with money. I can pay you by giving you an awesome hosting plan on a server without many other users.
This is what I'm thinking of in terms of the hosting account:
2 gigabytes (2048 megabytes) if you need that much
50 gigabytes of monthly bandwidth
no ads of course
fast server
php
perl
mysql
domain hosting or subdomain
If you're interested or want some more info, just reply to this and/or email me at tomgrotjan@hotmail.com
I'm just hoping there is someone out there who can help out.
If you're interested in programming it, but want something else in exchange for the programming, just email me and ask. We can probably work something out.

Hmm, I might be capable of helping. But to make something that big...

True, it will require a lot of programming.
If I get enough people helping out, I will give you all hosting accounts or something else of your preference, and I can have different people write different scripts related to the members area. This takes a load off of everyone, and after everyone finishes, we can work on integrating the scripts together.
So far you're the first person volunteering to help. Thanks a lot :)

Don't you already have an existing system?

needcgispace: Thanks!
Atlas: We did but we lost it in the server crash. It was different from what I'm looking for now anyway.
I'm collecting some scripts which do what I need, I can provide them as a reference or if some of you prefer, you can modify them for me.

I may be able to help with some PHP... and I can probably find someone who can help a lot more than me with some perl. Let me check into it tho....

Great..
I now have both perl and php scripts which can be modified to cover almost every aspect of my hosting system.

This is the way all free webproviders should start out. With the help of the internet community. By doing it this way, people helping build this FWP can input their opinions about the FWP and ways to improve it!
Hope it works out for ya Tom!

I'm sure Robert will help out here and there. It was his idea that I ask for help from the FWS community.
He and I are already partners on a separate hosting company, opening soon.

Not to take you too far off topic but what do you have coming? Is it a paid host and any first blush idea info on what you might be offering?
