Why not we introduce forum $$ and we can buy stuff/hosting from stores or change to lil bit of USD/paypal ?

Well, what it is, is for every post you make you get a certain amount of forum $$. People can donate forum $$ to you.

You can exchange this for graphics, help with scripting, webhosting, etc, and the person that you exchange it for, can exchange it with someone else to get a different service. No actual money is needed.

I think it is a good idea, however I think it would only work with people who are semi-hardcore web developers and the like. I think it would intimidate a few who are brand new to forums, and web dev altogether. Generally, atleast in my findings, paid to post forums are full of nonsense posts, only so people can rack up there earnings. Heck, some dont even allow signatures.

I think it would taint an already good forum, this one in particular. If a new forum got popular, and it was there from the very beginning, I think it would fly. Plus, with paid to post, there is more moderation, and the general atmosphere in here I believe would become competitive, and not so much friendly and free knowledge and people helping people out of their own experienced and knowledge.

I tend to ramble, but I hope I said that clearly.

It is a good idea but I also have to agree with Bryson. Plus exchanging it for hosting and what not? How would the hosting companies make a real profit to pay for servers and such? I think I have seen this before.

I've seen forum $$$ on other sites but there really just to get people ot post, and we have tons of people here posting already! (also forum $$$ encourage spam which no one wants.... or maybe they do but either way it encourages spam)
