Different...
I like the background gradient. Nice. But I do think that the graphic text needs to be sharpened a bit... unless that was the look you were going for.

Why do webhosts think they have to load thier site up with long loading images and tiny text? Other than that, nice generic webhosting design.

They dont, when companies are actually companies they usually have an image that they wish maintain as well as prestige, plus when you have alot to disclose or a variety of things you need smaller text to maintain a certain design... unless you want a long page. There is nothing wrong with either type of page, just depends on your "business".
