Hello all,
I need some help with my internet business I plan on starting. A friend of mine and I are going to design websites for other small businesses internationally. Right now, we are still in the process of making our own website, my question being how should I go about hosting it? I do not want to make an investment of any money for hosting at this point so I was wondering how I would go about getting a domain, website, emails all for free? As well as part of the business, we are going to organize the hosting of the websites they would be charged a small fee per month for us to maintain them; I would need someone to host these websites as well, where I would give a commission for your services.

We already have some major clients including “Pjs Pet Stores,” a major pet store chain in Canada, but due to our inability to organize things I fear they may have moved on and I do not want to see this happen again.

So once again, any info on free websites and domains would be appreciated.

You're problem and reason you would lose business do to being unorganized is your lack of desire to spend money.

You can surely find plenty of free hosts willing to help you out, but a domain name for free? You're asking for a one year commitment from someone and you aren't providing that commitment in return.

Sorry to be blunt.

Basicly what you are wanting is a reseller account for nothing. How can you have clients already when you don't even have your own self established? Also, you plan on running a business and making money, but you don't want to have any expenses? That is not how things work.

yes you are right in some ways but you have to understand that as a student I have ZERO and I mean ZERO dollars to spend on anything extra, this is really the whole point in this business.

I do see your points but you have to understand my situation, I want this to basically be as "free" as possible.

Plus I was offering whoever helped me out with some commision

Well, how many sites are you planning on hosting right off, and for how much?

right off.... well in the next little bit im going to get things organized, hopefully within that same month I will have at least 10 client just to start up and go from there. Since theres really only a couple of us working on this we probably wont be doing anything major, at least not yet.

How much.... my partner is thinking we charge $300 dollers per website design, things like logos would be extra. But if you were to be host I was thinking that I would just direct things to you after the site has been completed and recieve a commission, or you would give me the hosts and domains and I would give you a commission. The cost of that would depend on the person who would offer the hosts to me.

And in reply to your other question, the reason we have had major clients about a couple of months ago my partner and a friend started doing this, but because my partners friend had come "connections" he was able to get all the websites and hosting for free. But the project fell apart for personal reasons, I am just simply starting it up again, but from the ground p because I have no connections, as well I am somewhat of a "noobie" on the internet but I am a businessman and an entrepreneur.
