Well the problems all started when Cricket(www.gba-source.com) made the server overload. Our server was not very happy with this and recommended us that we should move to another server. So I have been planning to move to another server but I didn't know how to transfer the accounts. So the new host said they would do it for me. It took 2 days to finally get them to transfer my account, now everything is transfered. They changed my Cpanel password, so all I need is that and we will be up again. If you are unhappy with our hosting then we don't care, we try our best to satisfy our customers(free hosting customers). What more do you excpect from free hosting? Do you want unlimited space+BW with reseller priveliges? Well when we are back up you can apply for the hosting. All accounts and everything have been transfered over smoothly.

Where did you hear anyone say anything about having to restart posting or having to reapply for your account? Have you tried to login to cPanel using the IP? Your data is still there if you had any in the first place.

While I agree whith a lot of what you said I also know there's been a lot of people complaining about the site being down for a few days. The site has been down because of two reasons. 1 because of a planned upgrade and 2 because one person abused the service.

I personally make $ from my site and haven't been while the hosting has been down. Granted mine was up most of that time but I also haven't come here and bash the place like some have so I understand PkerMasters frustration.

It's always said "the customer is always right" but when the "customer" is getting your services for free they aren't really customers. They're people you donate to. It's also said "you get what you pay for" and those that feel they haven't gotten anything... well.

cricket did not abuse space. he did not abuse BW. He abused power. He made tons of movies and gif's load from our server power instead of his clients computers. That caused the crash and this mess. You guys need to sit tight while we are finishing the transfer. Thank You :D

As far as I know Luke had the database backedup so everyones posts will be there. Even if they aren't it doesn't take all that much to get a great plan. ;)

Everything was safely backed up today. All your posts and scores were safely stored. Now if the dumass host will get their butts in gear we could get some real hosting for you people. But its Friday for me and Saturday tommorrow. That means maybe I can pull a few more hours so that when we are up, I'll get us up so fast you won't even know we were down. :)

And sorry I can't give you a specific time. The old host is just made us wait so long. PkerMaster is having to literally haggle with them to transfer the old account. Our new host is more than happy to do the transfer. But the old one sure ain't. And there the ones that asked to leave. OF all the nerve they've got.

Well. This hosting started 2 months ago. I don't know when PkerHost started hosting. That might have been a year or two ago? Our servers our super reseller ccounts from people like GoDaddy, Information Group etc. High Quality :D (until you try to leave them anyways. Then they act like big babys.)

Guys, since the owner of the hosting is 14, I think that they will get bunkrupt. They offer way to much space and bandwidth(Making them the best on the net).

Alright guys some bad news. It appears that the old host WILL NOT let us transfer. We ahve even gone as far as begging etc. Maybe even bribed :D. I ahve asked Pker Host for clearance to allow me to download every acount and reupload. Mind you that this is no small task. I only get about 200Mb of BW a day. Maybe I can have people reupload if they would be kind enough to. I know this sounds horrible and injures our track record but please understand our situation. I know I will just reupload my stuff. It was all trivial and its sitting on my drive. All I gotta do is open up my FTP client and hit upload. Well sorry for the abd news. Plz tell us what you think our next move should be.

Just do an Remote FTP server (passive mode transfer) backup in cPanel. I believe I gave a little lesson on how to do that on the board.

Guys.. Do you even know what gba is?

Let me explain what gba-source is about,

Gba-source is a website to get roms, roms are exactly like any gameboy/sega/nintento/playsation/snez game, BUT you can actully play the game on your computer. Now this is illegal, it is not illegal if you have bought the actull game, or if you remove the game from your pc in 24 hours. Each rom is more than 1mb each, so when everyone downloads a rom, it takes alot of bandwidth.

Most people download the game, and don't remove it within 24 hours. People like those have 100's of roms on there computer, so I think you should really delete that website.

I've been talking to him about not closing it. But you guys have to remember its his choice. He will make a descision when he's ready. And hopefully he decides to stay. Cause I love this hosting, and I love my job, and I'm hoping he can start making some money on paid hosting out of this. But if he decides to quit there's nothing else we can do.

Oh and why should I pay someone else for old games. I rather it go to Nintendo corp then someone else's wallet. besides those games are used. When you download them though you know they will at least last.

He will continue paying for servers. And I will controll FFR now. Temporarily at least. Hes always welcome back. I'll try to get more detils and maybe I can have us back up soon. lol great english...yeah elementz has deleted all are accounts(i think)..and he is no longer carrying on with the project its been handed to Heymrdj....this hosting been down for 2 weeks now...and no sign of it coming back....it seem that the people they bought the server from are being asses..apparently.i hope this hosting comes back or ill have to find and alternative solution to a similar hosting as FFR..which is going to be difficult

Elementz ain't deleting nothin right now. Yes he has handed Most of the project to me. but he will still be checking the site, and guiding me :P

I think he wants to quite this hosting and go to xtremediablo again. At least thats what I gathered from last nights chat. But good news. He decided to hand off to me. He will continue paying for servers. And I will controll FFR now. Temporarily at least. Hes always welcome back. I'll try to get more detils and maybe I can have us back up soon. In the case that I need help if you guys agree I would like Tarawa to be secondary admin and Rabara be Super Moderator. I can't guarantee I'll be anywhere near as good as elementz but I'll try :D
