What I don't understand, is the amount of people asking on my forum:

Can I display my own ads?

Let me get this straight, you wish to make money off of a free service?

Can someone answer this question for me?

If you're making money off of your own ads, why dont you get paid hosting? Simple as that. If you want to stick on a free service while making money from your ads, your just greedy.

People don't want to pay. They want to receive. Easy as that. It's the mentality.

If you don't allow people to have thier own ads, most will probably go to another host. Simple as that.

What you should do is, put your ads on thier free pages and have them meet all your requirements. Then allow them to do what they want, as you are still getting your end of the deal.

If people can't do what they need to do, they will leave.

I dont see why some guys even offer free hosting with no requirements in the first place. I mean comeon, if you were offering free hosting and you said you didnt require them to have ads, no forum posts (which is lame in the first place), etc why would you care about them having ads anyway?

See people have gotten the hosting field screwed up with this no-nothing free hosting and people have started to see things one way, when they should be abother way... Like the prices of hosting now-days, Average people see a plan somewhere for say $2 for 10GB Space and 500GB Data Transfer/"Unlimited Transfer" from host a, then see a plan of quality which actually has limits to not oversell a server from host b, Then everyone thinks "oh they are too high" etc again, everyone wants something for nothing and wants to receive everything. Just my 2 cents $0.02 oldman2

I don't see what the problem is letting clients have there own ads on your free hosting account.

We run our free hosting service just like a paid service they can host there own ads if they want so long as our ads are displayed on there own and on every page.

Think of it this way if you let your clients host there own ads and they start to make some cash each month with them then may be they might upgrade they hosting package with you to a paid account with the cash they are earning....
