I have been looking for hosting and am in the process of 3 hosts..

Hostgater
good plan but ony 25 user connect on the database

WebwideMedia
Good plans, Allow 250 user connect on the database But max 5% cpu

Godaddy..
Dont know but was recommended..

Two questions..
Who would you go with?
Also, how easy is it to get 5% CPU usage using phpbb site?

Why not try a company on these boards?

As for those hosts there are big and nice to some people but generally they don't offer very good support and there services tend to be laggy at times.

Your forum would have to have a large number of active users. I couldn't give you an exact figure as it depends very much on the power of the server but if you just have a small site I wouldn't worry about this limit. :)

I've been approached by many people here. and they have excellent offers.. However I'm a huge tech support junkie.. So you'd be hearing from me.. A lot of offers I have seen around the new are resellers and the support isn't there.. Thats a big thing with me.

We do offer 24x7 true support with a tech available all the time. If support is what you need, support is what we have :)

One of the bigger companies you mentioned will be able to provide the support, but alot of hosts on here can. Nextboxhosting for one, Nevacious, Statichost. You just have to look.

Also I wouldnt worry about the 5% cpu limit, as it will be very hard to reach that with a phpbb forum, unless you are running a very big one.

Well, godaddy is kinda expensive in my POV.
