Hi Guys

The script was set so that uploads can only be done from the Slashdot domain. If you click on links in some sites, it reads the site as a referrer and won't accept the upload.

Just open a new browser and type in slashdot.co.za or downloads.slashdot.co.za - that will work then.

Hi all

You can now have your own space for uploading files. (www.downloads.slashdot.co.za/YOURFOLDER)

There are two options:

(1) Password Secured
You will have access to your folder where you can upload your files into and delete them if you wish. You have your own password and username for this.

The problem is with downloads, you will need to supply your users with this username and password.

We can remove the 'delete' function and you can request us to remove files you wish to.

(2) Unsecured
You can log in directly to your folder, no usernames or passwords.

Your visitors can also download without usernames or password.

Here we automatically remove the file "delete' function to prevent others from deleting your uploaded files.

Both folders will list all your files uploaded.

To test this new service, please go to www.downloads.slashdot.co.za/personalize

Username: test
Password: test

If you would like this, send me an e-mail to webmaster@slashdot.co.za with your request. Include your required folder name, username and password if you want secured protection.
