Crosswinds, miraculously, is still alive.

Russoweb will return... hahaha.
Gizba is still my choice.. 500MB and soon FTP is a bunch of hogwash!

Crosswinds was never good, and it is still up. But Gizba is still the worst!

I wouldn't say Crosswinds is the worst host. They've been up longer than most hosts today and even survived a while without the use of ads. They're like F2S, they're too slow to die :)
BTW... was russoweb EVER alive?

Nope, Russoweb never was.

1. That JM one or whatever the name was. Made you make your site, put it up somewhere else, then fill out this registration form only to never hear from them again.
2. XOOM (not the original 11MB one, "unlimited" xoom) their horrid ad banners that always seemed to get inside of windows that alread had them, then you ended up with 20 of them on the screen. They were only ever good for file storage.
3. There was one called Graffiti or something, and it just plain sucked ---.
4. Yahoo!Geocities started the trend of taking ownership of your site's content.
5. RedRival, they kept an ongoing lie that they would soon have CGI for what seemed like their whole lifespan, oh wait it was their whole lifespan. Bastards !

Yeah, Crosswinds is pretty bad (due to the stupid warez folks), but they aren't really the worst. At least they outlasted Xoom/NBCi (both CW and NBCi have been hurt by warez, NBCi decides to just duck and run, but CW chooses to stay and fight them). It's just sad what has happened to Crosswinds, formerly one of the best FWP's on the world wide web.

How can you rate the worst free hosting service? they are all the worst if they are free. And why is freededicatedserver.com and gizba.com a scam? Please inform us.
Thank you :)

how in the blue hell can you give away free dedicated servers that cost hundreds of dollars to buy and thousands to operate monthly for nothing? how is that? and for only one stinking banner? answer that!
as for gizba, they weren't even using a dedicated host. they were using a regular "unlimited space/transfer" pay account.
i hope you can understand this, and damn this is one old thread.
