Hello,
I am looking for a big webhost who offers 1TB of webspace and minimum of 500 GB of monthly transfer.

Thank You

Hmm, that is very weird. Firstly you will not find many hosts offering 1TB of webspace. Second, your webspace is more than your bandwidth which is highly unsuitable. Thirdly you are looking into huge $$$ soent here.

You need a Dedicated Server

1tb=1000gb?

Yellowmc

Yes it is, I dont know why the OP wants this much. Why would you need the space, and you will have to go for a dedicated option.

1000Gb WebSpace omg.

EDIT: Smells illegal to me.

1tb=1000gb?

No

1kb = 1024 bytes
1mb = 1024kb
1024mb = 1gb
1024gb = 1tb

FYI, just about 99% of the hosts here, don't give you real numbers. I believe 99% is a REAL percentage.

Why? There's always a need.

Yellowmc

My bad, I forgot the extra 24mb. Also there is nothing wrong with that much webspace, maybe he wants to host many opensource or free applications or something like that.

You're out of your mind. Everything is for warez right? Everything is for MP3's right?

He's a brand new member, asking for a TB of space, why do you find this sooooo ridiculous? Ever hear of Broadcast radio? Or Television? He's most likely not a Media Company, but those are just two examples...

Not only are the hosts unprofessional, they assume every potential customer is? Ridiculous.

Unfortunately for the OP, the only offer I can make is a SAN Server on a 1gbs connection. $1500, in my private Data Center in Albany NY.

I'm not out of my mind i just think that noone needs that much of Space except big companies like Microsoft <-- but maybe even they are not using a 1TB of Space.

hmmm, so no 1TB , and what about some less ?
I would really apreciate if someone knows one that has 750 GB or more webspace

What was your budget? You're still in the 5-digit range, based on your request.

What does the site actually reqiure?

I can offer you this for $3,124.99 / month

1TB space, and 3TB Bandwidth

Let me know.

Or we can do it for $5,000.50 / month

on our Paradise Servers with high end performance Dual Opterons 6gb ram.

ehm, peace_hope, that's a bit too much , my budget is something like $700 a year
...i know this is possible, i'm not looking for dedicated hosting

Yellowmc

Beleive me, for that budget it is definitely not possible. Has anyone offered you this already?

hottweelz

$700 a year? I can offer you 40gb of space with 400gb of bandwidth. MAX and CUSTOM for you.

Yes they did but my ftp got hacked :cry2:

And 40 GB is a bit too low

If a hosting company offered you that much space and that much bandwidth for $700 a year of course they got hacked, would you mind sharing who that was? I think it's a FWS Record right here ;)

Did you actually use the full 1TB of space? I bet some kiddie host offered it to you on his "unlimited" reseller account on a server with an 80GB hard drive. :biggrin2:

If you had an account with 1TB of space for $700/year the provider is just overselling on a whole new level. :shame:

peace_hope

wow! 700 a year that is amazing. Definetly a overselling little kid. My offer of $3,124.99 is only for a month. If you want a year, I could get you 3 months free ;)

$28,124.91 / year

But according to you that is too high, so I can do the following smaller plan:

$499 a month:
4 x 250GB HDD (equals 1TB)
2000GB Bandwidth (equals 2TB, can give more if you need it)
Plus you are on this server: Dual 2.8GHz Xeon Processors, 1GB Ram (Ram can be upgraded also)

If this is still out of your price range, good luck finding someone else.

You will definitely be needing a dedicated server and as mentioned above you also need to boost your budget. It really isn't possible for you to get that amount of disk space and transfer for so little. If a host offers you all this for $700 per year you can be sure they are overselling. To many people who only have small requirements, this may not make much difference as they will probably only ever try and use 25MB of their 250MB allocation for example. However, in your case you obviously intend to use all the resources you are paying for and you will run into serious problems if you buy from a host that is overselling.

I think peace_hope's offer in the post above should give you a pretty good indication of what you should be expecting to pay per month. :)

Well i think his budget is only 700$ per year so people just post offers if they have instead of making this thread offtopic .

I think 700$/year for 1TB space is very less eventhough he get it but I think he will lack RELIABILITY & without RELIABILITY you can't survive.
If you reduce TB to MB I would definately help you. :cool2:

Actually in HDD terms 1000gb = 1tb not 1024gb

Actually in HDD terms 1000gb = 1tb not 1024gb

Why would that be? Doesn't it break the 8 bits to 1 byte rule then?

Coight

Because HDD manufactures use it, that's why when you buy an 80gb hdd you have 73gb to use.
