Microsoft has decided not to support Java in XP.. They will be inhibiting anyone else to install Java so that they could favor C#. C# is windows only and would require extensive development to convert java apps to support, and unlike java it only works in windows XP.

Unsupported OS:
Windows 98
Windows 95
Windows 3.11
Mac OS
Mac OS X
Linux
Anything not Windows XP

Untrue users can install the JVM from downloading it from the SUN site.

That is again not true because of the above point.

Initially Microsoft will release SDK's for windows based PC's only with plans to release it for all major OS's by year end. All windows OS's except Windows 95 are supported.

Well, all sort of rumours have been around the much-expected launch of XP and .Net, but lastactionhero is correct in what he has pointed out.
