Image Hosting Illegal?

Im very curious. My account got deleted at www.puffinhost.com . Reasons? I violated the TOS. Which? For posting up IMAGE HOSTING.

So, a question, is Image Hosting illegal?

The concept of image hosting isn't illegal, but the fact is that people tend to upload copyrighted images, which naturally is illegal. Your account may have been deleted as a pre-emtive measure.

no no. My image hosting service is hosted at another host. And this host (www.puffinhost.com) is hosting my blog. And I posted the image hosting link there.

IS that violating TOS?

Image hosting is NOT illegal at all but as long as you take complats about copywritten pics seriously!!
Even adult image hosting is not illegal(i think!) by allowing ppl to host copywritten photos like paintings... is totally illegal.
So, just take care of this...

Wojtek's right. There's no obvious reason as to why Puffin Host deleted your account, but since they're a free host, they can do whatever they want.

crap, now i need a paid hosting. What if im found of uploading illegal stuff or 'metioning' illegal stuff accidentally? will a paid host delete me without notice?

That depends on the host and the nature of the "illegal stuff". If someone uploads sick porn/warez/mp3s onto your account, the host will probably suspend it without warning.

Paid hosts usually suspend your account, rather than delete it completely, thus you won't suffer actual loss of data.
