Tera-byte uses Cobalt RAQ4's which run a flavor of Linux.
Linux is an open source variant of UNIX and uses many UNIX commands, but has many differences as well.
NT is Microsoft and is therefore unstable, unreliable, prone to crashes, and pretty much dislikes any non-microsoft based applications

If I'm not mistaken, Tera-Byte uses Cobalts but also has regular NT/Unix Servers.
