Bandwidth Question

I have a banner at the top of each of my pages (not an ad, but my site title). Am I wasting a lot of bandwidth by showing it on each page or does only the first view count against my bandwidth since it's going to be cached? I do understand that it may not be cached by some people's preferences.

As I understand it, images that are cached don't use as much bandwidth as they do the first time they are viewed. Some people may have preferences that cause their browsers not to cache images. Each time they view the image, it will use the same amount of bandwidth. But since those people are probably a small minority of Internet users, I wouldn't worry about it.
