Hi I m using hostin kick my site.
Because:

Because you web site is burring our server. You are on a shared server and
you almost crashed it because your site was getting 5000 hits per second.
You need a dedicated server for that kind of traffic.
(this traffic for mysql server they crashed mysql server)
I view online user maximum 120.
But my site need 500 Mb space and 100 GB Band.
What will I doing? I m buy dedicated or another solution.
I wait Your propose.

Get a low end dedicated or VPS. Alternatively, get yourself hosted on very powerful shared packages.

BTW, what kind of sites do you run that consumes such high mysql usage? Even a forum doesn't do that.

Maybe its your script?

If you're getting that kind of Hits, definately consider a high performance Dedicated Server.

Ohm it may have just been a attack on your database. Someone sending constant request to your server and causing it to crash. It has been tried with my site's. And you host may have been lieing lol. I could maybe host you I manage my servers 24/7 and I can tell you what is happening if it is on my server. And what is your url or your old url? And what kind of script is it etc?

Hello niggle,

If your site is getting 5000 hits per second its nice you need to increase the bandwidth, you can stick with your shared server & increase the bandwidth or the better way is to go for a fast & reliable dedicated server. :-)

If you are interested in dedicated server then post your complete requirement along with your budget. :cool2:

Just to add to the conversation to help clear up what the person above posted. Bandwidth does not constitute whether or not the site's crashing the server in this case. The site could have 30,000 uniques and might only uses not more than 3GB Bandwidth per day, while other site could have only 300 uniques per day and uses more than 20GB Bandwidth per day.

It is the amount of user online at a time that might cause the server to overload and result to 'crash' in server.

Very true vphost, niggle what sort of website is it does it use mysql databases to fetch data from. You mention 100 users online, what is the refresh rate for the user status.

Thanks for Your propose.
The refresh rate 300 seconds.
Maxium uniques hit :1625
Minimum uniques hit : 1216
Bandwidth used approximately 1 GB per day.

I dont even think these figures are able to bring a server down unless the script you use is a runaway script.

Maybe your host pulling your leg?

Minimum uniques hit : 1216

100 users online with a 5 minute refresh rate on a shared host is a little to much even though it may not have brought a server down it still may be consuming a number of resources.

I don't think the 1Gb of bandwidth per day is true why would you be looking for 100 GB if you are using only 30Gb (35,40Gb) per month. I recommend you start looking for VPS solution at this time.

You should seriously consider getting paid hosting be it reseller, shared or VPS. Although most of our sites are high traffic on our new server, we have managed to get 100% uptime so far, hate to crash the "0" in 100%.
