why are some country domains (.be, .it, etc) TLD and others SLD (second level domains) (.co.uk, .com.au, etc). I think its kinda unfair and i'd much rather have a .uk domain even over a .com domain - but with .co.uk its just plain crap. Why do some do this and the others not?

Im not sure either its a great question But they're slds because they're ext.sub ext. whereas tlds are you.ext

ext means extension
