I need HelP with layouts.

Hello,
I have been having problems putting text on layouts.
I have made them but when I try to put text on them i can't.
I have tried putting a table on them althought wherever i type turns white.
Can anyone help me?

What are you using to make the layouts? What are you using to edit the layouts?

To make the layouts i'm uisng fireworks but i have imageready.
I'm using dreamweaver to edit the layouts.

you have to make the image a background so the text can be written on top.
