I'm looking for an affordable host that a college student can afford. (Under $30) I have had hosting with CI Host, and they have finally made me mad enough to leave their hosting services. I am looking for a host that can offer:

unix/linux packages
2GB or higher storage
20GB or higher bandwidth
multiple ftp accounts
unlimited subdomains
standard cgi/perl/php/mysql support
decent hosting speeds (no non-us hosts plz)

Before I have said I wish to use this host to host other clans, but I realize that I would really need a dedicated server for that. Now I just want to have my clan network site that only hosts a few good clans I know. Also, I haven't registered my domain name I want yet, anyone know a good place to do that?

i know you need an affordable package yet you need stability. you're not going to get 2 GB with a reliable host at $30 a month. it'll cost you about $75 a month in a custom plan the very least. you could try looking into a cheap dedicated server at acsdatanet.com or something for like $49 a month

And 75 per month would be pushing it... The 2 gigs of space will cost a lot by itself... couple that with 20 gigs of bandwidth and you got the makings of a dedicated server. I would check out www.venturesonline.com and look at thier dedicated #1.
