I couldn't upload a .htpasswd file. Is there any way to restrict directory access via http on F2S?

Yes. With .htaccess. :D
I don't know what your problem may be but .htaccess for pw protection works just fine on f2s. Sure it didn't upload and just is invisible?

You're probably right. I just uploaded .htpasswd and couldn't see it so I assumed it wouldn't work.

It does work it's just hidden - alter your ftp prog's settings.
