you will get some values in milliseconds. The lesser the value the faster the site will be.

You can't tell *exactly* which host is faster, because it depends on your connection, location, computer speed, and so on, I believe. Therefore it will vary from user to user I think. Correct me if I'm wrong. Good day.

Another less effective alternitive to the ping is tracert. (if you dont know) it will tell you what servers it has to go through to get to the actual site. Its not such a great alternative but it might work.

and you might want to try from different locations (tracert is in Win32, traceroute is in unix)
