View Full Version : We want a Free Forum!

Is this a Free Forum? Well that would mean that there are no links that cannot be posted. Affiliations of all kinds exist on the Net and that's part of what makes it all work. As long as the post itself is well written and informative I feel there should be no more censorship. And we go back to the old rules. Free Space. How do other people feel? - T

Is this a free forum? Hell no. Pay 160$ bub. :D (i know i'm missing the point already...)

frankly, this forum has little moderation, i think less censorship will be worse.

I don't agree. It will then have people posting all their affiliate links on this forum trying to make more money and hence spamming. This forum is already very free in nature very little moderation goes on and that to only when required.

I think he doesn't mean the monetary part. He is referring to the censorship angle.

The same old line! He's asking for your views he's not saying he doesn't like. That is not the way to treat a newbie!

For instance, I've got a great url to pass on to folks who might want a free FTP download for instance. But the URL is so long it would surely be suspect as to what it might really entail. I don't know myself who might be connected with all of that. What I'm saying is that it is about freedom and responsibility. As on the net, I say, so in this group. 3 things of mine came down, one of which also had some free downloads on it. Quality and access is lost along with the Freedom. So Wake up Freedom Group, and start acting like one. No Censorship!

I strongly disagree, there must be rule of law on these forums and must be censored, however not as strongly as the USSR did on its media in the Cold War.

BTW, the Freedom Team is just the Anti-Me Team... that is all it is about.

Temeluch, I don't understand. What kind of link is it you can't post? As far as I know affiliation links and too obvious warez links are the only not allowed.

I checked into the three things of yours that were removed:

Looking for free download of Dreamweaver
Referral link for Doteasy.com
Referral link for coolpages.com
Referral link for aitsafe.com

This forum is privately owned and run, and no matter who runs any forum, it will be privately owned and run. There will be no such thing as a 'free forum' so to speak.

This forum does not exist for the personal benefit of any of the members. Hence, referral links (links in which you receive some sort of compensation or reward in any way), are not permitted. Many of the great things you want to give the members have been topics started by you, thus really what you'd like to do is get that referral ID out there. This can no (and will not) be allowed.

Please note that this is a violation of the forum guidelines, thus it was removed, and that it is not censorship.
