View Full Version : Server off my computer?

I want to run a server off my computer, does anyone know any good software that does it? It will be from win98SE, and it wont be anything important, its just to use to work on my site, so I also prefer that its free, or even like a 30 day trial will do.

I use apache www.apache.org

I am going to do the same thing when I get X Window running on my Linux computer. Apache came with my distro! Good Luck. Just make sure you have a recent version of Apache so there aren't many holes in it.

I dont suppose there is any way to get php and mysql in there as well? Without having to pay for extremely overpriced software? Id rather not pay at all, this is only a test server to build my site from until I get a host.

www.php.net www.mysql.com

Both are free both have windows versions.

while your at it go to www.activeperl.com (maybe .org) and get perl on your system too :D
