No, I meant that if there is one valid argument against pornography on ethical grounds, it is that people get used for the profit or pleasure of others. It isn't much of a free choice for most.

I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with sexually explicit pictures or drawings or movies whatsoever. Naked people = good! What the "adult entertainment industry" seems to have a problem with, however, is taste. Have you seen those camera angles?! And my god, the tan lines. *shudder*

But what it boils down to, for me, is that porn is largely reflective of a society that has no respect for women. And that's really not cool.

There is only one person in Bombay right now making a difference and he's trying to liberate abducted girls who become prostitutes and he does so by going undercover and risking his life. This story was on 20/20 downtown 2 weeks ago.

You know, there are some loopholes in the child porn law that allow sites with pre-teen "models" to proliferate. They say they're celebrating the beauty of young children and it's art rather than porn, but the kids are still naked, they charge an entry fee, and they have suspiciously porn-like links. It's really horrible.

I don't know if you can rate porn good or bad. Since it is reflective on what our society bases sex on.

Just watch television and see the many T.V. advertisements that sell there product with sex or sexual images.

I don't porn is bad... but, on the other hand I don't think porn is good. I just think it is a fantasy world of a man or womens world based on sex or sexual behaviors.

Porn doesn't reflect the real world.

Adult Entertainment is ok ... The child porn or animal stuff is the stuff that I would think to be bad.

i have no problem with pornography i don't think i has much effect on society other than giving men unrealistic views of sex. but behind the scenes and sometimes on camera the emotional and sometimes physical abuse these girls have to go through is often horrible. many of the girls involved are addicts or have been abused as children. does anyone know porno star Chasey Lain? well once she was a millionaire porno star and now she an 80 pound crackhead selling her body for drugs. its not pornography its self i have a problem with, its the self destructive and dregading lifestyle the ppl who are in the movies have to go through. then theres movies like rough sex, slap happy and bdsm movies where the girls often start to cry and scream and are beaten and humiliated. the emotional toll on anyone in the sex industry is often overlooked.
Child porography is the worst as are sexual preditors of children, these ppl need to be locked away for life. there is no known cure for pedophilia. And then theres child prostitution, some think its a european problem but its everywhere. just not as open as in europe. something needs to be done. all this talk of dark side of life makes me depressed. what the hell has happened to society.

Nothing's happened to society. That's the problem. It's always been that way. In ancient Rome, it was very common for an older man to take a young boy as his lover. 12 year old slaves were often raped by their 55 year old masters in slavery America.
