They don't actually host any of the downloads.

They are, however, hosting over 100,000 projects.

Sourceforge is a great website!, and they are doing a great thing! ...I didn't mean to put them down, it is just so frustrating waiting for it to load.
I have dial-up too because of my remote location so that doesn't help matters any.

It seems fine now, but earlier when this thread was made I couldn't even load the site.

all sites are slow some times, just be paitient. I really dont think a couple of minutes of slowness was worth a thread.

Oh please, that website is always slow. So slow I can't even stand it at times and just leave. I have never created a popular site like that though, so I don't know if all popular sites are slow? ... none the less, you would think they could do something about it? :confused4

I don't usually find sourceforge all that slow. Also, the whole "making sure a site isn't running slow" thing costs money in bandwidth and servers, and sourceforge offers their services for free, paying for servers through sponsorships and advertising only, as far as I know. So if you find it slow, donate.
