Many organizations can suffer financial loss as a result of a denial-of-service attack and may wish to pursue criminal or civil charges against the intruder. For legal advice, we recommend that you consult with your legal counsel and law enforcement.

U.S. sites interested in an investigation of a denial-of-service attack can contact their local FBI field office for guidance and information. For contact information for your local FBI field office, please consult your local telephone directory or see the FBI's contact information web page:

CIA wouldn't do anything, as it isn't a matter of national security. The FBI is the Federal Bureau of Investigations. And they are investigating who's DDoSing servers. Local police don't do cybercrime.

hottweelz, please keep us posted, or at least me :p. I would really like to know the outcome of this.

I verified with my parents, who are both retired federal agents for the US Gov't. FBI was the way to go.

I had to get into it, via my parents, I also had to Minor in Finance for them to pay my college. I majored in I.S.
Did about 6 years at the Internal Revenue Service, (figuring after Examining Tax Returns and Authorizing/Suspending Tax Attorneys from Practicing in front of the US Government) I'd finally get into that awesome Federal IT Security Group. But they never had openings so I took all my tax experience and ran.

I still do taxes in the US for people ... January to April. But IT is my spirit.
