I want to add a forum to my site with the setup this forum has, but not as wide as this forum... are their any good choices you guys can think of? Preferably a forum I can just copy and paste HTML for use. Is that possible? Thanks

hehe, hey dood, i recon the best BB i m come accross to is XMB BB its easy to install, but requires the server to have PHP and MYSQL which often most servers dont :(

Another PHP and MYSQL free BB software would be the open source version of PHPBB, not that many great features, but does the job :D.

There may be others, Ikon Board( free CGI version of a BB program)

Also there is YABB(Yet Another Bulletin Board) similar to Ikon Board, but i dunno if better or not.

URLS

XMB : www.xmbforum.com
Ikon Board : www.ikonboard.com
YABB : www.yabb.com
PHPBB : www.phpbb.com

there may be others if u wish to pay some money for then u'd rather get

CGI version : www.ubb.com
VBB : www.vbulletin.com

cya i hope it was a help :D

if you don't mind it being remotely hosted
www.boardnation.com

they automatically set up a YaBB for you and host it--no ads

you just have to customize it to your liking

okay, YaBB, UBB, vB, iB, openBB, BlazeBoard, and other boards of the like are NOT REMOTELY HOSTED. you can install whatever hacks you want, you can edit the code, you can do whatever the hell you want with it. EZBoard.com is remotely hosted. they control what features go into it and you have to pick from them.

Would you please stop advertising them?! I for one see nothing special in them, only that they use YaBB. Personally, I think the best bulletin board host is the host that uses their own board. Unfortunately, the only one that does is EZBoard. Oh well, you get what you give.

unless your host discourages you to install a board into your webspace, do that! remotely hosting boards is for suckers, IMHO ;)

I signed up for Board Nation a few days ago, and it's one hell of a message board! Anyone who doesn't know jack-crap about CGI and PHP, should use board nation. :D
