Need some design feedback: New site layout

Hi,

It would be great if I could get some both positive and negative feedback (truthful) for my new website layout. I want to improve it myself, but don't really know how.

The site is a new freebies website and will eventually be all in PHP. (Note: All the links DO NOT work, sorry)

Positive:
- Nice design
- Cool logo!
- Original

Negative:
- Takes ages to load
- Javascript error
- Remove the vertical line on the left (I think it'll look better)
- Many advertisements... but not really disturbing, at least you don't have 20 popups/behinds...
