ok, i got a paid host, and it gives you a ip to your site, or the option to host a domain. well i have a domain at a place were you cant change the dns, only the url its connected too. no problem there. but i would like to know if there was any possible way to have it so that my domain is pointed at my ip, with the http://www.mysite.com/page.html enabled?

please dont say : just get a new domain, its cheap. because i can't, there are no domains that are like my site.

if your registrar is only allowing you to point it to a URL, i'd say it's a scam. did you actually pay for it? if you can point it to a URL, you can point it to your IP via URL redirection. the problem with this is your registrar is the middle man. your host and your registrar are buggy.

If you can't change the dns (guessing this was a free domain?), then you can't point the domain to an IP. Your domain isn't really yours, thus you are limited with what you can do.

You might be able to refresh the page to the other space, but in the end, getting a free domain is more hassle than it's worth. (As you are finding out).
