Yes, you can never do too much research. The important thing to look at though is: does the host look cheap (template based sites and $2 a month hosting plans are a good example)? If the answer is yes, then chances are they have cheap suppliers (whether dedicated or reseller) and will probably let you down in the future.

Okay you need to provide an URL if you are making this accusation. Because like stated before http://2xhosting.com/ is using a free resellerpanel thing and if that is the case then he CAN'T suspend your account because he DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS to the server itself. And also it makes me think you are talking about http://2xhosting.com/ because you said 25000MB and 400 GB for 10.42 which matches the exact offer at http://2xhosting.com/. And yet, it is impossible for that site's owner to suspend your account.

So that leads me to believe you are talking about 2xhosting.net in which case...well nothing to say because Mini said most of it.

Your stories aren't making any sense, so I suggest next time do more research and follow the TOS and AUP.

Agreed. Its usually always a site that has a very poorly designed banner (Something thrown together to make a quick buck) then the rest of the page looking as if it was designed by a few professionals.

I suppose that in some ways you are right rhianna. It's the same with anything though, I don't know anything about the internals of a car but I know there are people out there who would see me coming and try to rip me off (I'm taking second hand here, not new) so I would research the matter before visiting a car yard and take a friend along who knew what sort of things to look out for in used cars. :-)

It's a shame that more people don't take this approach to hosting. In fact recently I had a discussion with a potential customer about heavy overselling and how it could affect their website. They understood everything I was saying but still couldn't bring themselves to part with the deal that looked better on paper but probably wouldn't be in practice. In many cases people are their own worst enemy but the more educated everyone is the better choices they can make. Luckily most people learn from their mistakes and the reality is that cheap hosts are so, so cheap that the money lost in the process is irrelevant.

His account is set-up on OUR 2xhosting.net Server. Yes so we only do custom packages at moment. So please do not spread word about 2xhosting.net is a bad host. Basicly, If he had illegal porn or no proof of it being legal, then I dont see you dong anything wrong. You seemed to keep your kool during the msn log, even when he was swearing.

My recommendation to you though is cut the custom packages and get set packages first, custom packages will cause you problems if your not getting enough satisfied clients.
