I need a Free e-mail script for NT. I need it hosted on my server, and so I can set limits on the storage amount of emails (2MB).
I also want to customize the theme, and I think that's it.
I have access to
-ASP
-PHP
-MySQL
-CGI/PERL
Basically anything....
I think squirrelmail would work, but I'm looking for others too.

I dont think that allows custom themes, but I was thinking about it.
Would I be able to offer Free @mydomain.com email to everyone with that?
I want an automated sign up.

hey, if it can be done automatically with CPanel3, it can be done automatically.

I think I would have to modify something in it, I'm not for sure.
I like the looks of neomail, but
Could I have my own banners on every page of Neomail?
Could I put my own logo on it and write my own theme?
What I really *need* is:
-Be able to put my banners in the Theme
-Write my own theme (Optional)
-Automated sign up
-My logo on the email pages
I dont want to use everyone.net or bigmailbox.com or any of those.
I want it on my server.

if you take the guts of neomail, you can transform it into whatever you want if you have a creative mind ;)

I dont know if I have the skills to hack it up to fit what I need though.
Do you think an email script would use a lot of the CPU RAM and system resources?

squirrelmail is what is used by people who offer free email services. I have no clue whether is works on NT or not.

Do most hosts support that IMAP4rev1 mail server thing that's talked about on the Squirrelmail website? (i.e. ValuableHost or f2s)

I don't think any free host will support an IMAP server. But paid ones might support it. IMAP is just like pop3 but in that all mail stays on the server but you feel as if you are making changes on your computer.

Okay, I'll ask Valuablehost next time he's on. But if you don't delete the mail off of your IMAP server, wouldn't it eventually get full?

yes. :p
some hosts make the webmail space as part of your account. (i.e. those that use CPanel3)

You can obviously delete your mail from the server. Every user can be given a quota and if the quota is filled no more is recieved.
