There is another catch no one told me about. So if you don't qualify, even if you have 1800 posts you can't get one.

you also have to have been a member here for a certain amount of time. my guess is 6 months.

Yes, there is a second automatic limit to get custom titles. You have to achieve both of those limits.

It's more fun if people don't know exactly what the limits are, but I'm sure some of you have already guessed about right on both limits even though not exactly right.
