Could someone help me with this...?

Hello. I've been trying to make a certain banner for a LONG time now, but I have NO clue how to make one.

The banner that I want to make can be found at this site:

I have wanted a banner just like the one they have on the top of their page...

I have adobe photoshop 5.5, so, maybe someone could explain how to make a banner like the site above's.

Or, if you have the time, could you make one for me?

I would need the width to be 755, and height would be 100.

i use corel draw at the moment and im not sure how to get that line effect so i cant help you, although i think the best thing that u could do is chech the photoshop tutorials , they are quite complicated at first but u will soon get used to them:(

If this is any good to you I can do it in Paintshop Pro...

go to image > effects > blinds

and make the width 2 pixels. You'll probably want to lower the opacity as well.

It's rectangular as ever. The black bottom thing with the text is in the image.

well, you could use the marquee to delete an area for the text, then for that little slant, look for a color that's not in the main image and draw a line from the edge of that area to the bottom of the image in a slant like that, then use it as a guide to erase everything else. when you're done, use color range to select the color of the line and delete that line by simply pressing delete.

Sorry - but I didn't know it was a banner because it's just image text. Besides...banners are usually smaller, like 468x60.

Why not add at least a gradient fill, background effect or image to it?

I played around with psp for 20mins - see what you think.....

The two are identical, except the first is a gif, the second is a smaller file and a jpg. (I've attempted a bit of amateurish image compression)

I can understand you not liking it...but at least it gives you some ideas.
