2.99/year, trusted name (its Yahoo, c'mon!), basically everything feature wise as far as I know. I have a few with them, good stuff.

Sweet, thanks Matt.
I kinda typed my thoughts out wrong originally.. Looking for something for a friend, and misunderstood him. Anybody else know about my edited question?

when purchasing domain with hosting from the same company, make sure it's a good provider in a long time. Otherwise, your domain can be disappeared with their business if they are closed

gate2vn speaks the truth. Just be cautious about the whole domain with hosting package. I don't reccomend it, because a lot of times you can't take your domain with you if their hosting is horrible and you want out. Then all the users that know your site has to refind you under a new domain, and thats just messy. I keep them seperate, always.

Not sure... I'm considering whether to buy it or not, but I'm afraid there'll be hidden costs, or they'll cancel your account with valid reasons:confused4

They were 1.99/year for a while. They are just having massive sales on domains for whatever reason. Like I said, they are a respectable company and I already have 2 or 3 domains with their service. I have had no hidden costs or problems at all. Highly reccomended.

But I heard from others that Yahoo don't allow you to transfer domains or something like that. Well, I don't really undersand what that means...

If I remember correctly if you buy a domain with Yahoo.com, you also have to get the hosting with them as well. I suggest Netfirms.com.

In any case, at that level they're actually losing money for registering the domain.

No, you do not have to get hosting with Yahoo if you purchase a domain through them.

Yes, they are definitely losing money on the deal. Doesn't matter who they are buying them from, the ICANN costs for those TLD's are above $2.99 I would be sure.

Yeh, but I guess they figure that most will also buy hosting from them which it works in the sense the customer has to come back to the site to admin the domain. Doesnt always work though. Oh well, they aint hurtin for nothin'
