AN earlier thread got me thinking.

As a host, is your primary goal here, on FreeWebSpace.net to gain "customers?"

Or are you here more to interact with other hosts and have some fun, whether it be debating, arguing, agreeing, etc.

I never came here for the customers. I just pick one or two up along the way, I let my resellers get customers here.

I just gave away a reseller account for $1 because someone spelt my name right... do you seriously compete for customers on FWS?

I don't believe in competing against other hosting providers. I don't see it as a competition or contest.
I come here to get some customers mostly. However, I won't go out of my way to try to beat someone else's offer etc. If I think I have a plan that would best suit a requester, then I will post and tell them.

The main reason is customers but really, time spend here is limited now. I always believe in giving things a fair go, but after a year of posting here with very average results visits will be decreasing this year. :)

Well i dont think i got any customers from fws well atleast none of my customers say that . They just say " What is FWS" and i am like :biggrin2: most of the time. But i come here to see unrealistic sometimes funny offtopic posts by hosts and pulling their legs :) i think i have pulled every hosts leg here once or maybe 2wice , but i think utcrazy was the first one but i think he has given up or something :biggrin2: . Latest victim is James for his poor people and 3rd grade country comment(note he had nothing to offer but just a comment). I do not know if i have pulled ur legs ever hottweelz (see again spelt ur name right :) ) .

Well i know Decker is the only dude who doesnt hate me (well thats what i think, maybe he does in some secret unknown way :) )

Well i think i have made more enemies than freinds at fws, but strange i still like to come back and relax a bit here , cause no other fourms has "got a life".
WHT is freaking dry place and i usually have fights with moderators via the ticket system :)

And once they suspended my account too cause i stood up fot Gate2vn (whats his name) cause some jerk reported him cause he offered that guys his services which was lame act on that guys part (and i couldnt restrain myself from blowing up on that guy (no i didnt fart)) . Mostly its fun here at FWS and u get a change to be a kid again and have mild to major fights and comments fly around the room :) . Oh gate2vn if u need the reply i can pm u or send u screenie of it , but i used too many ****** words :). But that guys was really been a jerk reporting someone offering him his/her services. Cause i got over 10 to 20 pms from providers offering their services but i didnt care to report them. So i think WHM is dry place , but FWS is cool and way too much alive .

I've found this to be the best - people do blow up against each other but it subsides and next thing they're helping each other out.

Who knows - one bad morning and your going to be in a bad mood.

But I don't think I can remember anyone holding a grudge for that long.

They're is a load of intollerence, but really if someone is going to be a host then what happens here is just a minor training ground.

For requests - everyone is going to compete till they see the limit and just let those that will feel the hit carry on.

I have to say it's a good place to be for all parts of the hosting and hosted buisiness as it is 'real life'. Not a flat advert.

I was in the shoes of a lot of people requesting hosting over and over because they can never find hosting that is any good or without strings. I only started a "web host" to provide free hosting for those who deserve it, people in the place I used to be in. I am here solely for fun. Since I don't exactly get "customers" or make money, I certainly couldn't say I get customers here, but I have given away a lot of free accounts thanks to this board. Primarily, its for fun though, and nothing more.

Oh yaa thanks for reminiding me i think i offered few 2 or 3 people some free hosting i had totally forgotten about that :) But yaa FWS = fun and Jan is nice :) . Oh peo ur also nice but freinds with looks is better :)

Origanally I came here to get free hosting...then I got so ticked off at how many free hosts sucked and I made my own :P. Now I don't do as much hosting, but I love doing free php scripting.
