Note to all : I accedently start a topic on Free Request forum asking for paid hosting. But I was Unable to report it because the Author of the port/topic cannot report his own topics/posts. Please FIX it. And I was lazy to PM (Connection is slow)

Hi,

I need to get my upload back up.

1. I need alot of space 10GB or so.

2. 150MB File Size Limit must be allowed (I can change that via my account but I not sure if it works all servers)

3. Alot of bandwidth (150MB files take alot)

4. I need an agreement with your DC that the account is a file sharing service and that they should DELETE the illegal file(s) insted of removing/suspending the account or notify me.

5. Google Ads on my pages will setup (if possible) If I earn some money sure I will give you Fee+Some More bucks depending on my status (Sicknes)

6. Good Server protection (Portection from DDOS attacks!!!)

7. Good Uptime (Don't want a server that always go down)

8. Bank Trancefers. I don't have credit cards (Sri Lankan's don't have them much) so please make sure you accept bank trancefers.

9. If possible a domain but not required.

10. Experince in the hosting trade.

11. No cheating

12. Server Usage might not be ok somtimes (I not talking about the uploads but the Download)

13. Fast Server

14. Fast Connection to Server (100Mbps)

I will pay $4-5 per month and please I don't want to pay setup fees.

And I'm not sure I will go for it until the last moment just post what you can give. (Don't keep you hopes up yet)

Thank you,
Chirantha

For that kind of space and bandwidth, i would strongly suggest that you raise your budget to get decent offers.

4. I need an agreement with your DC that the account is a file sharing service and that they should DELETE the illegal file(s) insted of removing/suspending the account or notify me.
Remember that you will be held responsible for any actions that occur on your account regardless of what DC the server is in. Perhaps you should work out ways to safe guard yourself against abuse.

Yes I will not allow mp3 mp4 wmv mpg etc. Its just a big pain to review files. Can't a TOS help me?

I strectly are on that amout of money because $1 = Sri Lankan Rs. 160+/- Sorry I just can't help it :( So please understand.

I dont mean to sound mean or anything but, why disallow those file types? That will cut most of your uploaders. If you are to run a site you need to be able to be dedicated and run it at least, otherwise dont run it.

Secondly, most datacenters will not put up with any type of abuse and instead of your account being suspended, they'll usually null route the box or something similar until the violation is fixed.

Third, check that budget. 10GB Disk Space / Whatever data transfer is going to cost you a bit of money. $4 - $5 probably wont cut it and you also may want to look into some other form of payment, which should allow more hosts to make you an offer ie; Paypal/Credit Card.

Good luck :)

I'm sorry but there is no I am going to pay by credit card. As I said Most Sri Lankan don't have them and on top of that we are not rich and we are not going to say "Ops! I lost my money in the tranceaction". We don't have money to give away like that nor lose money like that (If I do my father will kill me :() The main problem is that I don't have credit card. And really I think Devoloped Contries went Tooooooo far with tecnology that they all forgot about the devoloping contries. :(

Some One Please Host :(

That budget is too low. While we do ccept Bank Transfers, and wires, $4-$5 is too low. Thats only 4GB space not including the bandwidth. The best I could do for you is 3GB space, 10GB bandwidth for $5 a month.

Well free hosts give 2gb space + 45gb bandwidth. I will pay the $5-6 MAX. I found www.powweb.com they give 12,000MB Space for $7.77 only problem is that they need a setup fee or pay for 1 year witch is un-acceptable.

If you know a host or a hosting company like www.powweb.com please Post.

Humm..... Let me point somthing here. This is a upload service..... And I will try to get some kind of Ad up. The Money that I get will be spent on upgrades (Buying Space aka $1 for 100MB).

LanderVI, I need more info like how long the host has been up. I just don't want to lose money. And as I said above I will make some upgrades when I get money.

Hi

(not a offer), I would ask this person if they have a site that they sell there hosting on, dont just buy hosting with no site as your chances of your money going is much higher, be safe :-).

Goodluck.

People can understand this right?

Well dude to be frank if your budget remains at 4$ pm the best offer you could get is around 1 to 2 gb space and maybe 20 to 50 gb bw . But do not choose a host that you think is giving unrealistic plans. But i dunno about dreamhost.com as they seem to offering for 7$ or 8$ 20gb space and 1 tb bw , so cannot comment on that as i have never tried dreamhost before .

You PM me with more info on what you would like to do with your hosting, the max money you have to spend, the type of ads you wish to display, and I'll see what I can work out fo ya.

I think the most important question to ask is: Why do you want to run a free file upload service? What do you want to get out of it?

Well basically u can put in ads on such sites in way that users are bound to click them (by mistake) . So i think file upload services good ways to produce clicks for ads on site.

Probably just because he feels like he's helping. Its a good feeling to some people to know that they provided a good service to somebody. I am that way.

Usually you get their bank details and fill out a slip - hand over cash at a bank (most charge) and the transfer is done so your details should never be required. :)
