Basically the same status as DataBlocks.net; just read that post

http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=8378

And in the service descriptions, replace DataBlocks with NetCabins as NetCabins and DataBlocks have formed a partnership. We'll offer almost identical services to our members for free.

Now Tom, since you seem to be a bit more reliable of a person than John of Datablocks, is there any way that you can tell us how you will be funded? No advertising on your pages makes enough sense; after all, you really can't make any money from that, anyway, but how are you getting money? I mean, you've said before that you are a businessman, which I respect a lot more than those fools who do it to "create community" or whatever reason, so I assume that you are not doing this on good will or altruism.

Good to have you back.
Sorry about me not being very nice in the other thread. I didn't like it when Datablocks closed.

We might be doing a big of night-time prostitution just to get thing started.. j/k of course

Like I've told just about everyone else, you'll see how it works when we open. I love John's ideas on this project and they make total sense.

I'm in this to make a profit. That's my primary goal with NetCabins. We need to make a profit in order to fund the service. With the current business plan, the profit will be there immediately and residually.

I know a lot of people were upset when DataBlocks went down. It's totally understandable; the same happened when NetCabins went down. Try to understand, when our servers had problems, we were just as upset about the situation as each of our members. Neither of us planned on the problems. We did everything we saw possible to prevent problems like these. But stuff still happens. John has gone beyond the call of duty setting up the new system, and we'll give it a thorough beta test to get EVERY bug removed before it's released to the public.

Last time NetCabins was opened we were hacked, flooded, messed with, and we had other problems.

This time, that shouldn't even be a concern. We're setting up the highest security out there, and we're promising at least 99% uptime (will probably be near 100% uptime) so your site won't go down.

What they need are unhackable environments. ;)
