Where can I get a free MySQL database? Freesql.org lets you create a database, but their phpmyadmin doesn't work.

Where else can I get a mysql database? (without it being part of a webhosting account)

Why do you want a database not part of a hosting account ?

You need the database on the same server as your web account or a very fast LAN between the 2 servers.

I don't want to actually connect it to something. It is more that I want to play around with it, like I would be able to do with freesql.org.

I know, go to google.com and type "free mysql", we aren't going to do most of the work for you.

Go to http://dev.mysql.com
Install on your PC
Create as many databases as you want

Strange idea, a host giving resource on a production server for people to "play with", that's asking for trouble.

If you want to play, then install it locally on your PC, it's a 5 min job, then you can play all day.

Just install it 'local' and 'play' till your hearts content.

Don't mess with someone elses for 'fun'

Google this - phpdev - there hard work done for you.

Suggest you don't come back you lazy git.

I think they've had enough help - it's just a case now of lift rear and do something yourself!

Talk about one lazy git - sheesh.
