What do you think about link highlighting with style sheets?

You know, when you the background of the link changes color when you mouseover. Personally, I think its annoying. What do you think?

If it's used sparingly - like for a certain kind of link (ie an important one) it can be effective.

I personally like bold black text with a pale yellow background highlight on a white page.

I agree with polestar! :D I feel it's getting a little overused. When it's in context links on a text page I actually like the default. It depends.
