Is putting google AdSense banners on your website really worth it? I mean, how much money will you get if you don't own a really busy site?

Without many visitors, you'll not make money whatever ads you run.

well, you tend to get around $5 CPM (1000 views) bear that in mind.

does the the $5 CPM depend on the ad that you are running?

um, you don't really pick the ads you run, google spiders your site and then picks the best ads to fit.

i know that but doesnt the amount you get for CPM depend on the ads that google places? i'm asking because the number of impressions I got and what google paid me equal to around $1 to 2 per 1,000 impressions. Tha would be if I had no clicks and I've had over 500 clicks.

If you don't have really many visitors. How would you get good amount of impressions on your ads. I would suggest if your site is getting good amount of traffic then ads program will work good for you to earn good. However, IMO Google Adsense is the renowned ad program in the advertising industry. :classic2:
