Are there any advertising companies that pay per impression? If so, what are they and do they pay well?
Thanks! :)

Fastclick reserves the right to terminate Publisher's relationship with Fastclick immediately should either (a) the number of Impressions delivered by Publisher total less than 3,000 per month, or (b) the unique Click Through Rate equals .25% or less for any fourteen (14) consecutive calendar day period, or (c) Publisher’s traffic falls below the threshold established by Fastclick from time to time. Fastclick reserves the right to change the minimum CTR at any time in response to market pressures.
Does that click through rate mean that you must have more than a quarter of a percent of visitors to your site click on the ad?

Try TrafficMP or Experclick, they're a lot easier to get into. I'm not sure how they compare to FastClick, Casale, Tribal Fusion, etc., but it's still a fairly low rate unless your site gets an insane amount of traffic. If you don't get that much traffic, go with CPC ads. Or, use an intersital or pop-up ad, otherwise you won't make any money.

I think it means that you have to have 0.25 clicks for every 100 times the ad is shown on your site. This is 1 click for every 400 times it is shown and 2.5 clicks for every 1000 page ad impressions.
