There have been better programs before napster, I agree. However, it was the more popular one. Hence a lot of people do care.

Ouch that was uncalled for.. Obviously you don't have anything better to do, your reading my posts. I enjoy keeping up with the NEWS ( also known as NORTH, EAST, WEST, SOUTH) while enjoying my morning cup of coffee. And if you must know, I do run my own business, as stated in my signature. It keeps me busy, as well as my wife and my "life". Yes, I do have a Life.

In my opinion, I still think Napster is the best program. It allows you to search for bit rate and stuff like that. You don't find that in many other programs. Also, you don't have to use those ugly (in my opinion only) web interfaces that take forever to load.

Napster was the first to start the revolution and I still believe it's the most user friendly thing out there. I know people who actually thought napster was everything even a player they didn't know abt winamp and stuff. Napster is to MP3 what Windows is to OS

I never had any problems with Napster crashing my computer :D

Napster was very nice and easy to use. I especially like the way you could listen to the MP3 when it was only partly downloaded. Maybe it's just because that was the first I used but the others have never really felt as nice. like audiogalaxy may be good and stuff but I don't like that web interface.

I liked going on Napster to download music. It doesn't effect me though now that they are pretty much forced out of the MP3 file sharing business. I never relied on them to get a lot of the music that I listen to.

It was too much time consuming downloading music off a 56 k modem connection that I would only download a song if I really liked it a lot. Also if I liked it a lot I would probably buy the CD eventually anyways.

Napster did start it all though and I commend them for that. Now everyone else evern the Record Companies are jumping onto the bandwagon.

Is morpheus almost exactly the same as Kazaa?

Yeah they are exactly the same. But the latest version or the next version will implement copyright protection but morpheus won't so I think Morpheus is better. Morpheus resumes files automatically for me.
