IRC Question

Why do not many hosts support irc? does it create problems. is there such thing as a "stable" irc host?

Well irc is so easy to hack these days and its like posting welcome sign on server for hackers. Well there are stable irc if they know what they are doing and have good irc knowledge. So irc for most host = danger due to lack of knowledge.

Usually you can't do it on shared because of the bandwidth it takes and also it can be used for illegal file transfer which is very stupid way of transfering.
